I had this discussion with one of my English teachers, and I proved that both ways of spelling this word are correct. The word can be and is confusing in this way, being the only word that carries that distinction. Yes, for all intents and purposes in writing “Neither” is the correct way to spell the word, but it is not incorrect to use the “Niether” spelling, if you should so desire.
As for the disclaimer made in the comment section here, I do not care what it says. I know what I know.
